// The story
Peugeot, based in France, added motorcycles to its lineup in 1903 and has built them under its own name ever since. It is still a major scooter and moped maker in France.
In France, Peugeot mopeds are an institution. The 102 arrived in 1967, the 104 and the 103 followed in 1971, and the 103 went on to sell more than 3 million, the best-selling 50cc two-stroke in history.
Americans got Peugeots too, including 103s in several speed classes and the top-tank TSM.
